Doha: Argentina became the football champion after defeating France on penalties in the FIFA World Cup final.

In the final of the FIFA World Cup played at the Lucille Stadium, Argentina defeated France by 4 goals to 2 on penalties and won the championship crown.

Game 2, 2 goals tied in 90 minutes before penalties. Argentina captain Messi scored a penalty goal in the 23rd minute to give the team the lead, which Di Maria doubled in the 36th minute.

For France, Mbappe scored the team’s first goal on a penalty in the 80th minute and scored the second goal in the 81st minute to end the lead.

Both the teams could not score any goal in the extra half played to make the match result. However, Messi gave Argentina a one-time lead in the second extra half (108th minute) which Mbappe equalized in the dying minutes of the match (118th minute).
