Buenos Aires celebrates the return of Argentina’s World Cup winning team.

Football World Cup winners Argentina witnessed historic scenes on their return home, as Lionel Messi disembarked with the trophy as millions cheered on their team in the capital city of Buenos Aires. The football team traveled from the airport to the city by bus.

Lionel Messi and his team walked the streets carrying the trophy, despite it being late at night, millions of people came to welcome the team to the famous square obelisk.

Citizens raised Argentine flags and chanted, players responded to the chants of the fans, thousands of people walked alongside the bus.
