Manchester United secured their place in the Carabao Cup final with a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the second leg of their semi-final match on Wednesday. The Red Devils dominated the match with a 5-0 aggregate win, thanks to second-half goals from Anthony Martial and Fred.

In the first half, January signing Wout Weghorst came close to scoring with a header from a pinpoint cross by Casemiro, but his effort hit the post.

United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, brought in top scorer Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Martial in the second half to seal the tie. Martial broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute, scuffing the ball into the net. Three minutes later, Fred added to the score by tapping in at the far post.

Manchester United will now face Newcastle United in the final on February 26th.
