Bernardo Silva is a Portuguese professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for the English Premier League club Manchester City and the Portugal national team. He was born on August 10, 1994, in Lisbon, Portugal.

Silva began his career with the Portuguese club Benfica, where he progressed through the youth ranks before making his senior debut in 2013. He later joined Monaco in 2014, where he played a key role in their Ligue 1 title-winning campaign in the 2016-17 season.

In May 2017, Silva signed for Manchester City for a reported fee of £43.5 million. He has since become an important player for the club, helping them win numerous domestic titles including the Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup.

Internationally, Silva has represented Portugal at various youth levels before making his senior debut in 2016. He was part of the Portugal team that won the UEFA Nations League in 2019 and played a key role in their Euro 2020 campaign, where they reached the Round of 16 before being knocked out by Belgium.
