Real Madrid cruised to a convincing 6-0 victory over Real Valladolid in their LaLiga Santander clash at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. The win was much needed for Los Blancos, who trail rivals Barcelona by a staggering 15 points following the Catalans’ 4-0 victory over Elche the night before.

Real Madrid’s recent league form has been disappointing, having won just five of their last ten matches. However, they were fully expected to take all three points against a struggling Valladolid side, who sit in 15th place and have won just one of their last six games.

Nacho Fernandez was suspended for the match, while Ferland Mendy and Mariano Diaz were both sidelined due to injury. Valladolid were without Javi Sanchez, who was serving a suspension, and had Darwin Machis, Sergio Escudero, and Anuar out injured. Jordi Masip, Selim Amallah, Kenedy, Gonzalo Plata, and Cyle Larin were all doubtful with injuries.

Real Madrid started the match on the front foot and never looked back. Karim Benzema put in a man of the match performance, scoring a first-half hat-trick. Rodrygo, Marco Asensio, and Lucas Vazquez also got on the scoresheet, as Real Madrid secured a resounding victory.

The win will be a massive boost for Los Blancos, who will now head into their midweek cup Clasico against Barcelona with momentum on their side. Real Madrid will hope to carry their impressive form into the rest of the season as they look to close the gap on Barcelona at the top of the table.
